Yes, as long as you don’t abuse the system.
Indepentia gives you ultimate creative freedom: release new music whenever you want, without having to pay additional fees. To protect our artists and give everyone a fair chance, we have some rules in place to prevent abuse or excessive use. Here are some examples as to what is and isn’t allowed.
No problem at all
- Do a project where you release a new album every month.
- Upload your band’s back catalog from the last few years in one go.
- Release your music as lots of singles instead of albums/EP’s.
- Creating a new version of your release with additional/different tracks.
We don’t like this
- Release an album full of ‘meditation music’ with low-effort or one-instrument tracks every week.
- Gaming our pricing model by releasing multiple artists’ music under one artist name.
- Creating multiple versions of your releases with the same content and/or different titles.
- Trying to mislead the algorithm on streaming services, including fake plays.
If you distribute much more than the average user’s number of songs, we’ll contact you to learn more about your music and see if Indepentia is still the best option for you. If you’re worried about your type of use, drop us a line and we’ll look at it together. As long as your intentions are good, we’re very flexible.
